Core Duties and Technical Responsibilities

The Senior Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for keeping commercial truck fleets operating safely and efficiently. Primary responsibilities include:

• Engine Overhauls & Major Repairs: Execute full disassembly, inspection, rebuilding, and reassembly of high-horsepower diesel engines (e.g., Mercedes OM series, MAN D-series engines).

• Gearbox & Drivetrain Servicing: Perform complete manual and automated transmission overhauls, clutch plate replacements, differential repairs, and drive-shaft alignments.

• Diagnostic & Computer Scanning: Utilize diagnostic scanners and multi-brand software to identify electronic control module (ECM) faults, sensor glitches, and fuel injection issues.

• Brake, Hydraulic & Suspension Systems: Overhaul pneumatic air brake systems, ABS systems, hydraulic power steering units, suspension leaf springs, and air bags.

• Preventive Fleet Maintenance: Execute scheduled oil changes, filter renewals, injector timing adjustments, and pre-trip mechanical inspections to prevent on-road breakdowns.

Candidate Qualifications and Mandatory Requirements

• GCC Work Experience: Minimum of 6 years of direct hands-on experience in the Gulf region (GCC) working on heavy transport fleets and European trucks.

• Educational & Trade Background: Industrial Training Institute (ITI) trade certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics (MMV), Auto Mechanics Diploma, or equivalent trade apprenticeship.
