Position Summary

Tabarak Construction is currently seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer for full-time employment across its active construction projects. This technical role is responsible for supervising daily mechanical installations, coordinating HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting system executions, ensuring strict compliance with mechanical specifications and site safety protocols, and compiling detailed technical progress reports.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Mechanical Site Supervision: Supervise live site installation activities for mechanical building services, including HVAC ducting and piping, domestic plumbing, drainage systems, and active firefighting networks.
• Cross-Functional MEP Coordination: Coordinate mechanical installation schedules with civil, electrical, and architectural site teams to prevent physical service clashes and structural penetrations.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Conduct quality walkthroughs, perform pressure testing (hydrostatic/pneumatic) on piping systems, inspect equipment deliveries, and submit Requests for Inspection (RFIs) to project consultants.
• Technical Documentation & Reporting: Review mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and MEP method statements; compile daily/weekly site progress reports and maintain testing logs.
• Safety Enforcement: Ensure all mechanical works and high-risk lifting or hot work activities strictly comply with site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in **Mechanical Engineering** from a recognized university.
• Work Experience: Minimum of **5 to 8 years of direct MEP / mechanical construction experience** on commercial or residential building projects.
• Technical Competencies: In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing standards, fire protection engineering codes (NFPA), and reading MEP shop drawings.
• Soft Skills: Effective team leadership, clear technical reporting, site problem-solving capabilities, and strong communication skills.
• Industry Background: Prior employment with established building construction or general contracting companies is strongly preferred.
