Position Summary

Al Jazeera Medical Center is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Insurance Staff professional for full-time employment in Qatar. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end medical insurance operations within the clinic, including securing pre-authorizations, processing claims, coordinating with third-party administrators (TPAs) and private insurance providers, and managing related healthcare administrative workflows.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Pre-Authorizations & Approvals: Submit, track, and secure timely pre-approvals for diagnostic tests, procedures, medications, and specialist consultations from insurance providers.
• Claims Submission & Reconciliation: Compile, verify, and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and TPAs, reducing rejections and managing resubmissions.
• Insurance Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between patients, medical staff, and insurance agencies to address coverage queries, pre-requisites, and claim status updates.
• Patient Eligibility Verification: Verify patient insurance policies, co-payment terms, coverage limits, and deductible requirements prior to treatment.
• Medical Coding & Documentation: Review clinical documentation and ensure medical diagnostic and procedural codes (ICD/CPT) comply with Qatari healthcare billing standards.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Work Experience: Practical experience handling **medical insurance approvals, claims processing, and insurance coordination** within a hospital, medical center, or clinic environment in Qatar or the GCC.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Qatari medical insurance portals, TPA protocols, medical terminology, and diagnostic coding.
• Computer Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and MS Excel for claims reporting.
• Core Skills: Excellent organizational capabilities, high accuracy in documentation, strong negotiation skills with insurers, and clear patient communication.
• Local Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a transferable NOC or immediate joining availability are preferred.
