Core Duties and Quality Control Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the QA/QC Manager and Project Lead, the QA/QC Inspector will execute the following core site responsibilities:

• Site Quality Inspections: Conduct routine and milestone quality checks for civil activities (reinforcement, formwork, concrete pouring, waterproofing) or MEP installations (HVAC ducting, piping, electrical containment, cabling).

• Work Inspection Requests (WIR): Raise, log, and coordinate Work Inspection Requests (WIR) with consultant engineers; conduct joint site inspections to obtain formal sign-offs.

• Compliance & Standards Verification: Ensure all site execution strictly aligns with project Quality Control Plans (QCP), approved Method Statements (MS), project specifications, and Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS).

• Material Testing & Verification: Inspect incoming construction materials against approved Material Submittals (MAR); witness site quality testing (concrete slump/cube tests, pressure testing, duct leakage tests).

• Non-Conformance & Reporting: Identify site non-conformances, draft Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Surveillance Reports, recommend corrective actions, and prepare daily/weekly QA/QC progress logs.

Candidate Qualifications and Mandatory Requirements

To qualify for this quality control role at Al Manar MEP Contracting, candidates should satisfy the following criteria:

• Educational Credentials: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 to 6 years of hands-on site inspection experience in civil or MEP construction within Qatar or the wider GCC.

• Standards & Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of QCS, ISO 9001 quality management principles, and relevant international codes (BS, ASTM, ASHRAE, NFPA, or DECC/Kahramaa standards); proficiency in reading engineering shop drawings and using MS Office.
