Job Summary

Crescent Careers is hiring an experienced Safety Officer specializing in high-risk Hydro-Jetting and industrial cleaning operations for an upcoming Oil & Gas shutdown/turnaround project in Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for hazard identification, enforcing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and overseeing high-pressure water jetting, confined space entries, and chemical cleaning tasks.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

• Safety Certifications: Mandatory NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or equivalent internationally recognized safety diploma.

• Technical Expertise: Hands-on safety knowledge in high-pressure Hydro-Jetting operations (10,000–40,000 PSI), sandblasting, chemical cleaning, and pressure washing.

• Industry Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of dedicated Oil & Gas Shutdown / Turnaround (TA) project experience in GCC/Gulf operations.

• Permit to Work (PTW): Mastery in authorizing and supervising high-risk permits including Confined Space Entry (CSE), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot Work, and Working at Heights (WAH).

Core Key Responsibilities

1. Hydro-Jetting Safety Inspections: Perform pre-operational checks on high-pressure hydro-jetting equipment, hoses, whip checks, safety shrouds, pressure relief valves, and foot pedals.

2. PPE Enforcement: Ensure all jetting operators wear appropriate protective gear (cut/blast-resistant suits, face shields, metatarsal boots, and leather gloves).

3. Toolbox Talks (TBT): Conduct daily safety briefings focused on line-of-fire hazards, pressure release protocols, emergency stop switches, and chemical handling.

4. Site Monitoring: Continuously monitor hydro-blasting and mechanical cleaning crews inside refinery units, exchangers, vessels, and storage tanks.

5. Emergency Response: Act as the primary site safety point of contact for injury response, pressure line ruptures, gas leaks, or hot work incidents.
