Core Duties & Warehouse Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and Inventory Controller, the Warehouse Assistant will execute the following daily operations:
Goods Receiving & Unloading: Assist in offloading incoming freight containers and delivery trucks; verify received shipment quantities against packing lists and delivery notes.
Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick items from storage racks based on picking slips, inspect goods for damage, pack products securely into shipping cartons, and apply destination labels.
Inventory Control & Stock Movement: Organize stock onto pallets, maintain designated storage locations, relocate materials using hand pallet jacks, and participate in regular physical stock counts.
Warehouse Housekeeping: Maintain clean, safe, and unobstructed aisle spaces, dispose of packaging waste properly, and follow all safety protocols regarding heavy lifting and material storage.
Dispatch Support: Prepare outbound shipments for delivery trucks, verify shipping documents, and assist logistics drivers during dispatch loading.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
