1. Key Responsibilities & Aquatic Safety Operations
As a Lifeguard, your daily operational duties will center on guest safety, emergency preparedness, and pool facility upkeep:
- Continuously monitor swimming pool facilities, water features, and surrounding deck areas to prevent accidents and ensure swimmer safety.
- Enforce pool safety regulations, facility guidelines, and emergency procedures in a polite and professional manner.
- Perform immediate water rescues, apply First Aid, and perform CPR/AED interventions in the event of aquatic emergencies or medical distress.
- Inspect pool filtration equipment, conduct routine water quality and pH chemical testing, and report facility defects to management.
- Maintain pool deck cleanliness, organize lifesaving apparatus, and ensure emergency equipment (buoys, rescue tubes, spine boards) is fully operational.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to guests, answering inquiries courteously while maintaining constant visual vigilance over the water.
