1. Key Responsibilities & Supply Chain Scope
As a Procurement & Logistics Officer, your daily operational duties will span supplier management, purchasing execution, import shipping, customs clearance, and inventory tracking:
- Source reliable local and international suppliers, request quotations (RFQs), evaluate commercial bids, and conduct price negotiations to secure optimal cost savings and credit terms.
- Process and issue purchase orders (POs) for elevator equipment, spare parts, hoistway components, electrical wiring, and maintenance supplies in alignment with project timelines.
- Coordinate international freight forwarding, shipping schedules (Air/Sea/Land freight), and bill of lading documentation for imported elevator materials.
- Manage local customs clearance procedures, port documentation, duty payments, and compliance with Qatari import regulations.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with project managers, site supervisors, and warehouse teams to ensure materials arrive on site safely and on schedule.
- Maintain comprehensive vendor databases, track supplier delivery performance, resolve invoice discrepancies with accounts, and conduct regular market price reviews.
