1. Key Responsibilities & Technical Scope
As a Ticketing Agent, your primary daily GDS and airline operational duties will include:
- Issuing domestic and international airline tickets efficiently using Amadeus or Sabre GDS terminals in full compliance with carrier ticketing rules.
- Executing complex ticket reissuances, date changes, reroutings, and schedule adjustments, calculating additional fares, taxes, and penalty fees accurately.
- Processing full and partial ticket refunds, electronic Miscellaneous Documents (EMDs), and debit memo resolutions in accordance with IATA/BSP guidelines.
- Verifying fare basis codes, baggage allowances, minimum stay requirements, stopover conditions, and routing accuracy prior to final ticket issuance.
- Providing professional, prompt assistance to retail and corporate clients regarding flight options, seat allocations, special meal requests, and ticketing inquiries.
- Maintaining high attention to detail to eliminate ticketing errors, ADMs (Agency Debit Memos), and revenue discrepancies.
