Position Summary

Midmac Contracting is currently seeking a qualified and proactive Civil Site Engineer for site operations in Al Wakrah, Qatar. This position is responsible for directly supervising field construction activities, coordinating sub-contractors, managing daily progress, and enforcing strict engineering quality control and HSE safety compliance on site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Field Supervision & Execution: Supervise daily civil construction works, earthworks, concrete pourings, rebar placements, and formwork assemblies on site.
• Contractor & Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate daily work fronts across trade crews, sub-contractors, and equipment operators to keep site execution on schedule.
• Quality Control & Inspections: Ensure all work is executed strictly in accordance with approved IFC drawings, technical specifications, and conduct joint inspections with consultant engineers.
• HSE Compliance: Enforce job site safety regulations, risk assessments, Tool Box Talks (TBT), and proper PPE usage across all active work zones.
• Progress Reporting & Quantities: Prepare daily construction progress logs, track material quantities, and report field variances to the Project Manager.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 to 6 years of direct site supervision experience on commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading structural and architectural IFC drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and setting out coordinates.
• Software Proficiency: Practical command of AutoCAD, MS Project, and standard office software for technical reporting.
• Local Status: Candidates currently based in Qatar with a transferable visa and valid NOC or immediate availability are preferred.
