Core Duties & Mechanical Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager and Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, the Diesel Mechanic will execute the following technical functions:

• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, oil/filter changes, tune-ups, and scheduled maintenance inspections on industrial diesel engines, power generation units, and heavy plant machinery.

• Diagnostic & Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical failures, abnormal noises, fuel system issues, overheating problems, and power losses using diagnostic tools and mechanical testing equipment.

• Engine Overhauls & Component Repair: Disassemble, repair, adjust, and rebuild diesel engine components, including fuel injection pumps, injectors, turbochargers, water pumps, valves, and cylinder heads.

• Generator & Auxiliary System Care: Inspect, service, and repair diesel generator mechanical sub-systems, cooling units, radiators, drive belts, exhaust manifolds, and fuel transfer lines.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
