Core Site Duties & Coating Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Painting & Coating Supervisor and Site QC Inspector, the Spray Painter will perform the following daily industrial functions:

• Surface Preparation Support: Clean, degrease, and prepare metal surfaces prior to painting; inspect abrasive blast-cleaned steel to ensure proper surface profile and cleanliness before application.

• Airless & Conventional Spraying: Operate high-pressure airless spray pumps, conventional spray guns, and pressure pots to apply primers, intermediate coats, epoxies, and polyurethane topcoats on structural steel, pipes, and tanks.

• Paint Mixing & Viscosity Control: Accurately measure, mix, and thin multi-component industrial coating systems (epoxies, hardeners, thinners) strictly following manufacturer product data sheets (PDS).

• Coating Thickness & Quality Check: Monitor wet film thickness (WFT) during application to achieve required dry film thickness (DFT); ensure smooth, uniform application free from runs, sags, pinholes, or overspray.

• Equipment Upkeep & HSE Compliance: Flush, clean, and maintain spray equipment, hoses, nozzles, and spray tips after shifts; strictly adhere to site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules, including using fresh-air breathing hoods and protective suits.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
