Position Summary

A reputable Engineering Consultancy in Qatar is currently seeking an experienced and meticulous AutoCAD Draftsman for full-time employment. This technical design role is responsible for transforming engineering concepts, rough sketches, and architectural calculations into precise 2D/3D technical drawings, detailed plans, elevation layouts, and shop drawings using AutoCAD for various infrastructure, building, and engineering projects across Qatar.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Technical Drawing Preparation: Produce detailed engineering CAD drawings, architectural floor plans, structural layouts, sections, elevations, and MEP schematics using 2D and 3D AutoCAD software.
• Design Coordination & Revisions: Collaborate closely with project engineers, architects, and consultants to incorporate design changes, client feedback, and technical revisions into working drawings accurately.
• Standards & Codes Compliance: Ensure all drafted plans conform strictly to local Qatar building codes, engineering drafting standards, company CAD guidelines, and project specifications.
• As-Built & Shop Drawings: Prepare comprehensive shop drawings, construction details, and final as-built drawings for site implementation and authority approval submittals.
• Document Control & Archiving: Maintain organized digital CAD files, revision control logs, layer standards, and drawing register databases for easy retrieval and project coordination.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Diploma or Degree in Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a certified AutoCAD/CAD Operator training credential.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience as a Draftsman within an engineering consultancy, architectural firm, or construction contractor.
• Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in **AutoCAD (2D & 3D)**; working knowledge of Revit, BIM modeling, or 3D visualization software is a strong advantage.
• Engineering Drafting Skills: Solid ability to read, interpret, and translate complex engineering sketches, structural layouts, and architectural drawings into precise CAD deliverables.
• Residency Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and transferable visa/NOC status are preferred for immediate hiring.
