Position Summary

A leading Fire Protection Company in Qatar is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Fire & Safety Technician for full-time employment. This vital life-safety position is responsible for executing the installation, routine inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of active fire alarm, detection, sprinkler, and suppression systems in accordance with Qatar Civil Defense Department (QCDD) standards and project specifications.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• System Installation & Setup: Lay out, mount, cable, and install fire alarm control panels, smoke/heat detectors, notification devices, wet/dry sprinkler systems, and fire pumps across site installations.
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct routine testing, cause-and-effect matrix checks, and periodic maintenance of addressable fire alarm networks, fire hydrants, hose reels, and deluge systems.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose electronic faults, wire breaks, ground faults, and hydraulic leaks in fire prevention setups, performing immediate repairs or component replacements.
• QCDD Standard Compliance: Ensure all installation, repair, and servicing procedures conform strictly to Qatar Civil Defense Department (QCDD) regulations and NFPA guidelines.
• Documentation & Logging: Fill out daily service reports, maintenance logs, and testing certificates for client record-keeping and audit verifications.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Technical Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Technical Experience: Proven hands-on experience installing, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems, sprinkler networks, and firefighting equipment.
• Local Market Knowledge: Prior technical experience working in Qatar and familiarity with local Qatar Civil Defense Department (QCDD) fire safety codes are strongly preferred.
• Core Skills: Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, piping schematics, and fire system layouts accurately.
• Residency Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and transferable visa/NOC status are preferred for immediate onboarding.
