Position Summary

A leading Security Systems Company in Qatar is currently seeking a skilled and experienced ELV Technician (CCTV / Access Control) for full-time employment in Doha. This specialized technical role is responsible for the site installation, routine maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of IP CCTV cameras, access control systems, gate barriers, intercoms, and general Extra Low Voltage (ELV) infrastructure in compliance with Security Systems Department (SSD/MOI) standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• System Installation & Cabling: Pull, terminate, and test Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cables; install IP/Analog CCTV cameras, magnetic locks, card readers, door controllers, and bio-metric access systems.
• Configuration & Commissioning: Mount and configure Network Video Recorders (NVR), Digital Video Recorders (DVR), IP camera addresses, and access control management software.
• System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose signal losses, power failures, network connectivity issues, and physical equipment faults across low-voltage security installations.
• Network Integration: Execute basic network switch configurations, patch panel terminations, and IP assignment for integrated security appliances.
• MOI/SSD Standard Compliance: Ensure all installations, camera angles, and storage configurations comply strictly with Qatar Ministry of Interior (MOI / SSD) security regulations.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Technical Diploma or ITI / trade certificate in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in ELV systems, specifically IP CCTV surveillance, biometric/card access control, structured cabling, and public address setups.
• Networking Skills: Fundamental understanding of network topology, TCP/IP configurations, subnetting, routers, and PoE switches.
• Core Capabilities: Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to read ELV containment schematics and single-line diagrams accurately.
• Residency Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and transferable visa/NOC status are preferred for immediate placement.
