Position Summary

A prominent W.L.L. industrial contracting firm in Qatar is currently recruiting experienced HSE Officers and Lead HSE Professionals for long-term oil & gas and petrochemical project assignments. Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Onsite Safety Management: Enforce strictly occupational health, environmental, and safety (HSE) standards across high-risk oil, gas, refinery, and industrial job sites.
• Shutdown & Turnaround Supervision: Lead live site safety monitoring during active plant shutdowns, turnarounds, confined space entries, hot works, and critical lifting operations.
• Permit-to-Work (PTW) Oversight: Review, verify, and audit Permit-to-Work systems, job safety analyses (JSA), and risk assessments prior to activity authorization.
• Incident Investigation & Inspections: Conduct routine HSE audits, daily site safety walks, toolbox talks, near-miss logging, and detailed accident/incident root cause investigations.
• Emergency Response Preparedness: Ensure site worker compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE), gas monitoring protocols, emergency evacuation procedures, and rescue plan readiness.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on HSE experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial project environments.
• Shutdown Background: Direct experience managing site safety during plant **turnarounds or shutdowns** is essential.
• Mandatory Certification: Valid **NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)** is strictly required. Additional IOSH or OSHA certifications are advantageous.
• Technical Competencies: Comprehensive knowledge of hazard identification, gas testing procedures, confined space entry protocols, and international safety regulations.
