Position Summary

A reputable private company in Qatar is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant for full-time employment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, managing general ledger accounts, executing invoicing and billing, preparing comprehensive financial reports, and handling complete bookkeeping cycles utilizing modern accounting platforms like Odoo and Tally.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions, perform double-entry bookkeeping, maintain general ledgers, and manage accounts receivable/payable registers.
• Accounting Systems Operation: Utilize **Odoo ERP** or **Tally Prime** to issue customer invoices, process vendor bills, track inventory valuation, and reconcile bank accounts.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss (P&L) statements, and cash flow reports.
• Reconciliation & Payroll: Conduct regular bank reconciliations, vendor statement reviews, petty cash audits, and assist with processing monthly staff salaries via WPS.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all billing, expense tracking, and financial documentation strictly comply with local Qatari accounting practices and corporate tax standards.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Work Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of direct accounting and bookkeeping experience in commercial or corporate settings.
• Software Proficiency: Practical, hands-on experience operating **Odoo ERP** or **Tally** accounting software is essential, along with strong proficiency in MS Excel.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com).
• Core Competencies: Solid understanding of standard accounting principles, financial reporting structures, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliations.
• Residency Status: Must **currently reside in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID)** and transferable status.
