Core Technical Duties & Instrument Fitting Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Instrumentation Foreman and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor, the Instrument Fitter will perform the following daily technical tasks:

• Impulse Tubing & Hook-Up Installation: Fabricate, bend, route, and install stainless steel (SS) impulse lines, copper tubing, instrument tray systems, and mounting stands for pressure, flow, level, and temperature transmitters according to hook-up drawings and P&IDs.

• Tube Bending & Fitting Assembly: Perform precision tube bending (1/4", 3/8", 1/2" SS tubing) utilizing hand and hydraulic tube benders; assemble twin-ferrule compression fittings (Swagelok, Parker) to ensure leak-free connections.

• Field Instrument Mounting: Install and mount field instruments (control valves, pressure gauges, manifold valves, junction boxes, solenoids, and pneumatic actuators) securely onto structural supports.

• Testing & Pressure Inspection: Assist testing teams with pneumatic line testing, loop checking support, impulse line flushing, and leak detection (bubble test/pressure hold) prior to commissioning.

• Industrial HSE Compliance: Strictly adhere to Ras Laffan industrial site permit-to-work (PTW) protocols, job safety analysis (JSA) guidelines, and mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this industrial instrument fitting contract in Ras Laffan, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:

• Educational & Technical Attainment: ITI / Vocational Diploma in Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Industrial Electronics Trade.

• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an Instrument Fitter, preferably in oil & gas refineries, LNG plants, petrochemical facilities, or power generation projects.

• Communication & Physical Stamina: Functional spoken English communication skills (spoken Hindi or Arabic is a plus) with physical capability to perform manual installation work in industrial site conditions.

• Local Visa Status: Candidates currently in Qatar holding a valid QID with Transferable NOC or family visa ready for immediate 6-month contract mobilization are required.
