Position Summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced and high-caliber Internal Auditor on behalf of a key corporate client in Doha, Qatar. This permanent role is responsible for evaluating internal control systems, assessing risk management frameworks, conducting independent audit assignments and walkthrough testing, preparing comprehensive audit reports, formulating strategic corrective actions, and liaising with senior stakeholders and external auditors.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Risk & Control Evaluation: Independently assess organizational risk management, internal controls, governance structures, and financial operational compliance.
• Audit Execution & Fieldwork: Lead and execute risk-based audit assignments, walkthroughs, sample testing, analytical reviews, and operational compliance evaluations.
• Audit Reporting & Recommendations: Formulate clear, concise, and actionable audit reports highlighting key control deficiencies, operational risks, and practical corrective actions.
• Stakeholder & External Audit Liaison: Maintain professional relationships with department heads, executive management, and coordinate seamless external audit reviews.
• Follow-Up Reviews: Track and monitor the timely implementation of agreed-upon management action plans and corrective measures across operational units.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• Professional Certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (**CIA**), Certified Public Accountant (**CPA**), Chartered Accountant (**CA**), or equivalent credential is highly preferred.
• Work Experience: Minimum of **5+ years of continuous internal or external audit experience**.
• Industry Experience: Audit background in **maritime, logistics, ports, shipping, or transportation sectors** is strongly desirable; prior Big Four audit experience is a distinct advantage.
• Regional & Language Capabilities: Fluent English communication (written and spoken) is mandatory; Arabic language proficiency and knowledge of the GCC business environment are advantageous.
