Position Summary

Candidzone is currently recruiting an experienced Land Surveyor for an urgent building construction project in Doha, Qatar. This contract position carries an initial duration of 2 months (renewable based on project requirements) and is responsible for performing precise land and building layout measurements, setting control points, operating total stations/GPS equipment, and delivering accurate spatial data to support construction engineering teams on site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Field Surveying Operations: Perform precise layout setting-out, grid marking, elevation checks, and boundary establishing for building structures, foundations, and MEP penetration points.
• Instrument Operation: Calibrate and operate modern surveying instruments, including Total Stations, RTK GPS systems, optical levels, and digital laser distance meters.
• Data Extraction & Mapping: Download raw survey observations, process point data, calculate topography levels, and update site survey plot plans.
• As-Built Surveying: Conduct as-built surveys for completed structural and civil elements, preparing comparative layout drawings to verify tolerances against approved IFC drawings.
• Site Coordination: Collaborate closely with site civil engineers, project managers, and quality control inspectors to resolve dimensional discrepancies on site.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a Land Surveyor on active building construction or civil infrastructure projects in Qatar/GCC.
• Technical Education: Diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical certification.
• Software & Technical Skills: Proficiency in Total Station/GPS software, as well as basic working knowledge of AutoCAD for survey data processing.
• Documentation & Status: Must hold a **valid Qatar ID (QID)** and be available for immediate project mobilization.
• Availability: Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
