Position Summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is currently seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer for full-time project deployment across Doha and Ras Laffan, Qatar. This critical engineering role is responsible for developing comprehensive project master schedules using Primavera P6, managing resource allocations (manpower, machinery, and materials), tracking physical progress, identifying schedule risks, and providing dedicated planning support for plant turnarounds and shutdowns.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Schedule Development & Baseline Creation: Formulate, maintain, and baseline detailed project execution networks, Level 3/4 shutdown schedules, and activity WBS structures using Primavera P6.
• Resource Allocation & Histogram Planning: Plan, level, and optimize manpower, specialty equipment, heavy machinery, and material deliveries for turnaround activities.
• Progress Monitoring & S-Curves: Track actual site progress against planned baselines, update Primavera schedules, analyze Earned Value (EVA), and generate Progress S-Curves and histogram reports.
• Risk Identification & Delay Analysis: Identify critical path bottlenecks, assess schedule risks, perform delay variance analysis, and recommend recovery mitigation plans to project leadership.
• Inter-Departmental Coordination: Liaise closely with site execution, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and client plant operations to ensure aligned shutdown execution schedules.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in **Mechanical Engineering** from a recognized university.
• Work Experience: Minimum of **12 to 15 years of total planning experience** within oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer plant facilities.
• GCC Experience: Must have **5 to 7 years of dedicated experience working in the GCC region**.
• Specialized Expertise: Hands-on planning and execution experience in **plant shutdowns and major turnaround projects**.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced hands-on mastery of **Primavera P6** and **MS Project**.
• Availability: Candidates with immediate availability in Qatar or ready to join on short notice are strongly preferred.
