Core Duties & Project Leadership Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Operations Director / General Manager, the Project Manager will execute the following strategic project functions:

• End-to-End Shutdown & Maintenance Execution: Direct and oversee all phases of oil, gas, and petrochemical plant shutdown projects—from pre-shutdown planning, scope definition, and mobilization to execution, commissioning, and demobilization.

• Timeline & Progress Management: Develop critical-path schedule models using Primavera P6 / MS Project; monitor daily progress S-curves, identify execution bottlenecks, and implement recovery plans to meet target completion dates.

• Team & Contractor Supervision: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams (site managers, mechanical engineers, QA/QC inspectors, HSE leads, and sub-contractors), managing peak site workforces during intensive shutdown windows.

• Budgetary & Commercial Control: Oversee project financial performance, manage project cost controls, control variation orders, review sub-contractor invoices, and optimize resource allocation to maximize profit margins.

• HSE & Quality Assurance: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on site, maintaining a target of zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI), and ensure all mechanical installations satisfy international codes (ASME, API) and client specifications.

• Client & Stakeholder Management: Function as the primary focal point for client representatives, presenting daily shutdown progress reports, steering committee updates, and technical resolution strategies.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements

• Leadership & Stress Resilience: Outstanding leadership capabilities, strong conflict-resolution skills, and the proven ability to make critical decisions under extreme time pressure during live shutdown events.
