Position Summary

Arabian MEP Contracting, a leading MEP contracting division under Al Malki Holding, is urgently seeking an experienced and certified QA/QC Engineer (MEP – Mechanical Focus) for major construction and infrastructure projects in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing quality management systems, supervising site mechanical inspections, managing non-conformance reporting (NCRs), and ensuring strict adherence to international and local engineering standards, including ISO, QCDD, and ASME.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Mechanical Quality Assurance: Oversee total quality management for mechanical services including HVAC chilled water systems, ductwork, fire suppression systems, plumbing, and mechanical plant installations.
• Inspections & Material Audits: Raise and witness Requests for Inspection (RFIs), inspect incoming mechanical materials/equipment against approved submittals, and verify compliance with ASME, SMACNA, and QCS guidelines.
• NCR & Corrective Action Management: Issue, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective/Preventive Action Requests (CARs); conduct root cause analysis with site execution teams.
• ISO Quality System Compliance: Ensure full implementation of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) protocols, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements (MSTs) across all active project sites.
• Testing & Commissioning Verification: Witness hydrostatic pressure testing, duct leakage testing, pipe flushing, balancing, and QCDD pre-commissioning inspections for firefighting systems.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized, accredited university.
• Work Experience: 4+ years of dedicated QA/QC experience on major MEP contracting or building construction projects in Qatar or the GCC.
• Standards Mastery: Thorough working knowledge of **ISO 9001 QMS**, Qatar Civil Defence Department (**QCDD**) regulations, **ASME** codes (piping/vessels), SMACNA, and Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS).
• Professional Registrations: Valid **MMUP / UPDA Engineer Registration** in Qatar and CSWIP / ASNT / NACE certifications are strong assets.
• Residency Status & Availability: **Must be currently based in Qatar** with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and ready for immediate joining with transferable status / NOC.
• Key Competencies: Exceptional technical auditing skills, high attention to detail, and fluent written and spoken technical English communication skills.
