Core Duties & Accounting Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and Company Directors, the Senior Accountant will execute the following financial operations:
Financial Reporting & GL Management: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow); maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (GL).
Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): Oversee vendor payments, manage aging reports, process supplier invoices for imported spare parts, and follow up on client outstanding receivables to ensure healthy cash flow.
Inventory & Landed Costing: Work closely with the warehouse team to conduct regular stock audits, reconcile inventory valuations, and accurately calculate the landed costs of imported HVAC equipment and freon gases.
VAT & Tax Compliance: Prepare, audit, and submit quarterly Value Added Tax (VAT) returns via the Qatar Dhareeba portal in strict compliance with the General Tax Authority (GTA).
Bank Reconciliation & Audit Support: Perform daily bank and petty cash reconciliations; prepare year-end financial schedules and liaise with external auditors during the annual statutory audit.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
