1. Key Responsibilities & Technical Drafting
As a Civil Draftsman, your core daily functions will focus on detailed drafting, plan generation, drawing management, and cross-departmental coordination:
- Prepare comprehensive 2D civil engineering drawings, site development plans, foundation layouts, earthworks, and structural details using AutoCAD.
- Develop detailed infrastructure drawings including road networks, storm water drainage systems, sewage networks, and utility line routings.
- Revise design drawings based on engineering calculations, markups, redline comments, and consultant modifications.
- Produce accurate as-built drawings and documentation following physical site surveys and project completion milestones.
- Coordinate directly with project managers, structural engineers, site teams, and MEP draftsmen to prevent spatial conflicts and clashes.
- Maintain strict drawing control logs, manage revision histories, and ensure compliance with Qatar CAD standards and municipal authority guidelines.
