1. Key Responsibilities & Purchasing Operations
As a Construction Procurement Officer, your daily functions will center on material sourcing, commercial evaluation, ERP management, and site logistics coordination:
- Source local and international construction materials, MEP supplies, tools, heavy equipment, and sub-contractor packages tailored to project specifications.
- Prepare and issue detailed Requests for Quotation (RFQs) based on site material requisitions and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) requirements.
- Perform commercial evaluation of supplier proposals, build cost comparison sheets, and negotiate price, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Process and issue official Purchase Orders (POs) and Sub-contract Agreements using ERP procurement modules.
- Maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers while continually expanding the company's approved vendor database.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, storekeepers, and logistics teams to guarantee timely material arrivals and eliminate site downtime.
