1. Key Responsibilities & Leadership Scope
As the Offshore Topsides Construction Superintendent, your core duties will focus on site leadership, technical management, and client representation on major offshore platforms:
- Lead and supervise all offshore construction, hook-up, structural modification, and topsides installation activities to ensure strict adherence to project timelines and technical specifications.
- Act as the primary Client Representative on site, managing interface between EPC contractors, sub-contractors, marine spread operators, and project management teams.
- Enforce safety leadership by maintaining rigorous compliance with corporate Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems, SIMOPS protocols, and international offshore marine regulations.
- Review and approve construction procedures, lifting plans, job safety analyses (JSA), and technical query solutions in real-time.
- Monitor project progress daily, drive schedule milestones, manage offshore resource allocations, and report directly to senior onshore project executive management.
- Oversee pre-commissioning activities, punch-list walk-throughs, and handovers between topsides construction teams and operations commissioning groups.
