1. Key Responsibilities & Workshop Supervision
As a Fabrication Supervisor / Foreman, your core shop-floor leadership and production oversight responsibilities will include:
- Supervising daily workshop activities for teams of fabricators, fitters, welders, riggers, and shop technicians.
- Distributing daily task assignments based on production schedules, cutting lists, structural drawings, and isometric piping schematics.
- Ensuring fit-up, tacking, welding, and assembly tasks comply precisely with engineering drawings, AWS/ASME fabrication standards, and client tolerances.
- Coordinating closely with production engineers and QA/QC inspectors to facilitate timely material testing and non-destructive testing (NDT) approvals.
- Enforcing strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules, conducting daily toolbox talks, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free workshop environment.
- Monitoring machinery utilization, welding equipment upkeep, consumables inventory, and material handling safety across all fabrication bays.
