1. Key Responsibilities & Inspection Scope
As a QC Welding Inspector, your primary quality control and compliance duties will include:
- Performing visual welding inspections, fit-up checks, joint preparation, and dimensional verification on structural steel, piping spools, and tanks.
- Reviewing and enforcing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
- Coordinating and witnessing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Monitoring pre-heating, interpass temperature control, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) operations.
- Maintaining comprehensive inspection logbooks, non-conformance reports (NCR), inspection test plans (ITP), and final manufacturer data reports (MDR).
- Interfacing with third-party inspection agencies and client representatives during scheduled hold-point inspections.
2. Candidate Eligibility & Qualification Criteria
