1. Key Responsibilities & Inspection Scope
As a QC Painting Inspector, your primary coating quality control and site verification duties will include:
- Inspecting surface preparation procedures including abrasive blast cleaning (Sa 2.5/Sa 3 standards), surface profile depth, ambient conditions, and dew point measurements.
- Monitoring protective coating mixing, induction times, thinners, and application methods (airless spraying, conventional spraying, or brush/roller).
- Performing quality checks for wet film thickness (WFT), dry film thickness (DFT), cross-hatch adhesion, holiday testing (pinhole detection), and cure verification.
- Verifying paint batch certificates, shelf-life documentation, material safety data sheets (MSDS), and paint manufacturer technical data sheets (TDS).
- Compiling daily painting inspection reports, logging non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintaining complete Manufacturer Data Reports (MDR).
- Interfacing with client QA/QC representatives and third-party inspectors during scheduled hold-point inspections.
2. Candidate Eligibility & Qualification Criteria
