1. Key Responsibilities & Culinary Operations
As a Commis for events and restaurant services, your daily duties will focus on food preparation support, kitchen maintenance, and event execution:
- Assist senior chefs and de parties in preparing ingredients, mis en place, cold and hot station set-ups for high-end restaurant service and banqueting events.
- Maintain strict HACCP hygiene protocols, clean work stations, proper food storage practices, temperature logging, and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Ensure food preparation meets Park Hyatt’s premium presentation, portion control, and flavor consistency standards.
- Support live cooking stations and live buffet setups during corporate functions, weddings, and high-profile hotel events.
- Carefully operate kitchen machinery and tools while keeping prep counters, refrigerators, and cooking units clean and organized.
- Collaborate seamlessly with front-of-house service staff and kitchen team members in a multicultural, fast-paced kitchen environment.
