1. Key Responsibilities & Contractual Management

As a Senior Contracts Administrator, your daily role will center on commercial risk management, contract enforcement, and claim resolution across major infrastructure works:

  • Administer main contracts, subcontracts, and consultant agreements in strict compliance with FIDIC conditions, Ashghal standard contracts, and Qatari commercial laws.
  • Review contract documents, scope of works, and technical specifications to identify potential commercial risks, liabilities, and ambiguity before site execution.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contractual variation orders (VOs), extension of time (EOT) claims, cost impact analysis, and interim payment applications (IPCs).
  • Maintain comprehensive contractual records, correspondence registers, claim notifications, meeting minutes, and legal documentation to safeguard company interests.
  • Coordinate directly with project managers, quantity surveyors, legal advisors, and supervision consultants to resolve commercial disputes amicably.
  • Provide expert contractual advice to site operational teams, ensuring strict adherence to contractual notice period requirements and subclause stipulations.

2. Candidate Eligibility & Professional Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following academic, licensing, and professional background standards to qualify for consideration:

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction Law from a recognized university.
Experience Level 8+ years of dedicated contract administration and commercial management experience specifically within roads, highways, or heavy infrastructure projects.
Professional Registration Mandatory MMUP / UPDA Engineering Registration in Qatar. MRICS / MCIArb credentials are an added advantage.
Domain Knowledge Deep familiarity with FIDIC contract frameworks, Ashghal contract standards, risk management, claim drafting, and dispute mitigation.
Key Competencies Strong negotiation skills, analytical capabilities, and excellent command of written and spoken professional English.
