1. Key Responsibilities & Operations Management
As the Maintenance Manager at Etihad Steel Factory, your primary duties will involve ensuring peak plant availability, minimizing downtime, and leading engineering technicians:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Corrective Maintenance programs for all factory machinery, heavy cranes, CNC cutting/drilling lines, shot-blasting booths, and welding systems.
- Lead, schedule, and direct a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical engineers, electrical technicians, hydraulic specialists, and millwrights across daily operations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to track work orders, monitor mean time between failures (MTBF), analyze equipment reliability, and maintain spare parts inventory.
- Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic breakdowns rapidly, implementing long-term root-cause solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage maintenance budgets, source OEM spare parts, evaluate vendor service contracts, and oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) machinery upgrades.
- Enforce strict factory health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, ensuring all machinery lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and safety interlocks operate flawlessly.
