1. Key Responsibilities & Technical Scope
As a QA/QC Engineer — Welding for NAJCO's energy projects, your core technical and site inspection duties will include:
- Supporting overall welding quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) operations on oil and gas site projects in Ras Laffan and Dukhan.
- Reviewing and monitoring Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
- Conducting visual welding inspections, joint fit-up verifications, and pre-welding/post-welding checks on piping and structural systems.
- Coordinating non-destructive testing (NDT) activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and evaluating test reports against specified project acceptance standards.
- Issuing, tracking, and resolving Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), weld defect logging, and verifying corrective and preventive actions on site.
- Maintaining technical documentation, inspection reports, material test certificates (MTCs), and final quality dossiers as instructed by the recruiter and project quality manager.
