1. Key Responsibilities & Operations Scope
As the Rigging Foreman at Aertssen, your daily operational duties will center on lifting supervision, equipment assembly, crew coordination, and strict safety enforcement:
- Supervise crane operators, certified riggers, signalmen, and mechanics during complex heavy-lift and transport operations across project sites.
- Direct lifting operations and ensure that all crane setups, load radius calculations, sling angles, and rigging configurations strictly match approved lifting plans.
- Coordinate site manpower, rigging tools, heavy equipment allocation, and daily work schedules to maintain high operational productivity.
- Provide hands-on supervision and technical support during the mobilization, assembly, boom erection, counterweight installation, and dismantling of heavy crawler and mobile cranes.
- Maintain accurate daily work records, equipment inspection logs, rigging gear registers, and lift activity reports.
- Enforce rigorous safety standards, conduct pre-lift safety meetings (Toolbox Talks), check third-party load test certifications for all rigging gear, and ensure proper exclusion zones are established.
