1. Key Responsibilities & Structural Engineering Scope
As a Senior Structural Engineer, your primary technical responsibilities and project leadership duties will include:
- Conducting rigorous technical reviews of structural designs, calculation sheets, foundation engineering, and shop drawings for reinforced concrete, pre-stressed, and structural steel frameworks.
- Providing expert technical guidance during complex structural modifications, value engineering assessments, and site-specific engineering challenges.
- Overseeing QA/QC protocols, structural inspections, and material verification submittals to ensure full alignment with local codes (QCS) and international design standards (BS/EURO/ACI).
- Collaborating closely with client representatives, architectural teams, MEP engineers, and main contractors to resolve structural interfaces and coordination clashes.
- Evaluating non-conformance reports (NCRs), structural inspection requests (RFIs), and method statements for major structural concrete pours and steel erections.
- Mentoring junior structural engineers, reviewing calculation packages, and compiling technical executive reports for project leadership.
