Position Summary

A reputable Trading Company based in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced and meticulous Accountant for immediate full-time employment. This key financial position handles day-to-day general ledger bookkeeping, monthly financial reporting, payroll administration, bank reconciliations, and ERP system record-keeping to ensure sound financial management and compliance with commercial accounting standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting & Reporting: Maintain accurate ledger entries, process accounts payable/receivable, prepare monthly trial balances, income statements, and balance sheet reports.
• Payroll & WPS Administration: Process monthly employee salary calculations, generate payroll sheets, and oversee compliance with Qatar’s Wage Protection System (WPS).
• ERP & Software Logging: Record daily commercial financial transactions, supplier invoices, and customer receipts into the company ERP software system.
• Bank Reconciliations & Audit Support: Perform regular bank reconciliations, manage petty cash disbursements, and prepare schedules for internal and external audits.
• Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Assist with corporate tax documentation, municipal filings, and ensure compliance with statutory accounting regulations in Qatar.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com). ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is a plus.
• Work Experience: **3 to 8 years of proven experience** as an Accountant, ideally in a commercial trading, distribution, or corporate office setting in Qatar or the GCC.
• Software & ERP Proficiency: Hands-on proficiency with popular accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Zoho Books) alongside advanced MS Excel skills.
• Core Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, analytical problem-solving, familiarity with WPS payroll processes, and effective business communication.
• Residency Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and transferable visa/NOC status ready for immediate joining are preferred.
