Position Summary

IESCO in Doha, Qatar is currently seeking an accurate and customer-focused Cashier for full-time employment in their store operations. This key front-of-house role is responsible for processing daily retail sales transactions, managing cash registers, handling point-of-sale (POS) card payments, balancing daily cash drawers, and providing friendly customer service at checkout counters.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Checkout & Payment Processing: Scan retail products, issue sales invoices, and process customer payments via cash, credit/debit cards, electronic wallets, or vouchers using the store POS system.
• Cash Register Management: Maintain an accurate cash drawer, manage floats, provide correct change, and ensure balance accuracy at the opening and closing of each shift.
• Daily Reconciliations & Reporting: Count daily cash receipts, print POS shift summary reports, reconcile physical cash against sales records, and highlight any discrepancies immediately to store supervisors.
• Customer Service: Greet store customers politely, process returns or exchanges according to store policy, handle minor customer inquiries, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
• Counter Maintenance & Security: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure checkout counter area while strictly adhering to cash handling and store safety protocols.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: High School Diploma, High School Certificate, or College Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Work Experience: Minimum of **3 to 5 years of proven experience** as a Cashier or Store Teller within a retail store, trading company, or supermarket environment in Qatar or the GCC.
• Technical & Numerical Skills: High numerical accuracy, proficiency with computerized Point of Sale (POS) software, card terminals, and basic MS Excel for daily sales logging.
• Core Attributes: Strong attention to detail, high level of integrity, excellent interpersonal communication, and ability to handle high customer volumes efficiently.
• Residency Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and transferable visa/NOC status are preferred for immediate hiring.
