1. Key Responsibilities & Daily Operations
As a CNC Machine Operator at Etihad Steel Factory, your primary objective is to execute precise machining and fabrication processes in line with project specifications and engineering drawings:
- Setup, program adjustments, and operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machines (e.g., CNC beam drilling lines, plasma/flame cutting machines, plate processors, or CNC press brakes).
- Read, interpret, and work directly from technical engineering drawings, fabrication shop drawings, and structural blueprints.
- Inspect raw steel materials (I-beams, channels, angles, plates) before processing and verify finished component measurements using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, tool changes, and equipment cleanups to ensure uninterrupted operational safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with quality control (QC) inspectors and production supervisors to meet Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and factory safety standards.
