Position Summary

EMCO Qatar is seeking a qualified, proactive Electrical Engineer (Maintenance / Industrial) for full-time assignment across industrial plant operations, utilities, and commercial facility maintenance projects in Doha. Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Electrical Systems Maintenance: Supervise routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs on LV/MV/HV switchgears, transformers, distribution panels, circuit breakers, UPS units, and industrial generators.
• Industrial & Utility Supervision: Monitor industrial motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor control centers (MCC), automatic transfer switches (ATS), and plant lighting control systems to minimize operational downtime.
• Breakdown & Shutdown Management: Respond promptly to critical electrical breakdowns, diagnose system faults, coordinate replacement parts, and assist in planned industrial plant shutdowns.
• Kahramaa & Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical works, load testing, and installations comply strictly with Kahramaa regulations, Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), and site-specific safety protocols.
• Technical Reporting & Permits: Maintain accurate logbooks of electrical testing, prepare scope estimates for spares, and execute electrical works under approved Permit to Work (PTW) frameworks.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
• Work Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, utility operations, or industrial plant shutdown services in Qatar or the GCC.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading single-line diagrams (SLDs), troubleshooting control circuits, power factor correction systems, and industrial electrical automation.
• Regulatory Certification: Kahramaa license or eligibility for Kahramaa engineer certification is a significant advantage.
• Residency Status & Availability: **Must be currently residing in Qatar** with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and ready for immediate local transfer/NOC joining.
• Personal Attributes: Strong diagnostic capabilities, safety-first mindset, and fluency in technical spoken/written English.
