Position Summary

Al Baraha Engineering Consultancy (BEC), a reputable engineering and architectural consultancy in Qatar, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical / Mechanical Engineer (BIM – Revit Specialist) for full-time assignment in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D MEP models, managing interdisciplinary clash detection, and leading technical drawing preparations for mandatory authority approvals including Kahramaa, QCDD, and Ashghal.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• 3D BIM Modeling & Design: Develop, update, and manage high-LOD 3D Revit MEP models (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting) according to consultancy standards and project execution plans.
• Authority Submissions: Prepare, format, and verify technical MEP drawings and design submittals in strict compliance with Qatar statutory bodies including Kahramaa (electricity/water), QCDD (Qatar Civil Defence Department), and Ashghal (Public Works Authority).
• Coordination & Clash Resolution: Conduct 3D clash detection using Navisworks, coordinate MEP services with Architectural and Structural models, and resolve spatial conflicts prior to construction release.
• Drawing Production: Extract accurate shop drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic layouts, builder’s work details, and bill of quantities (BOQ) directly from Revit models.
• Consultancy Support: Assist senior design engineers with load calculations, design reviews, technical query (RFI) responses, and client presentations.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• BIM Software Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD is strictly mandatory.
• Authority Knowledge: Direct experience preparing and securing MEP design approvals from Kahramaa, QCDD, and Ashghal within an engineering consultancy environment in Qatar.
• Professional Credentials: Valid **MMUP / UPDA Engineer Registration** in Qatar is a distinct advantage.
• Residency Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and transferable visa/NOC status ready for immediate joining are preferred.
• Key Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent spatial coordination skills, and fluent technical English communication.
