Core Duties & Electrical Maintenance Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Technician will perform the following daily operational functions:

• Electrical Installation & Wiring: Install, connect, and terminate electrical cables, distribution boards (DBs), main distribution boards (MDBs), circuit breakers, switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures according to electrical schematics and Qatari Kahramaa standards.

• Routine Maintenance & Inspections: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance inspections on electrical distribution systems, emergency generators, UPS systems, motor control centers (MCC), and control panels.

• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose electrical faults, short circuits, voltage drops, and equipment failures using multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters; carry out prompt repairs to minimize facility downtime.

• Safety & Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations strictly follow safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and local electrical codes.

• Work Order Documentation: Record completed maintenance tasks, list replaced spare parts, log diagnostic findings, and report major system defects to the maintenance coordinator.
