Position Summary

A reputable Supply Chain Company in Qatar is currently seeking an organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator for full-time employment. This key operations role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end shipment workflows, tracking inbound and outbound freight deliveries, managing shipping and customs documentation, and coordinating seamlessly with transport carriers, port authorities, and internal departments across Qatar.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Shipment Tracking & Coordination: Monitor daily movement of air, sea, and land freight shipments, ensuring timely pickups, port clearances, transit tracking, and final delivery updates to stakeholders.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare, verify, and archive essential shipping and customs clearance documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), Air Waybills (AWB), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin.
  • Vendor & Carrier Liaison: Communicate daily with freight forwarders, clearance agents, shipping lines, and local transport vendors to negotiate schedules, resolve delivery delays, and optimize freight routes.
  • ERP System Updating: Record and update real-time inventory movements, purchase order status, delivery notes, and dispatch logs within the company ERP system.
  • Cost Control & Reporting: Audit freight invoices, verify shipping charges against negotiated rates, resolve billing discrepancies, and compile monthly logistics performance reports.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Work Experience: Practical hands-on experience in supply chain coordination, freight forwarding, customs clearance, or logistics administration in Qatar or the GCC region.
  • ERP Systems Mastery: Solid working knowledge of ERP platforms (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Core Skills: Excellent organizational capabilities, proactive problem-solving, high attention to detail, and professional communication skills in English.
  • Residency Status: Candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) and transferable visa/NOC status are preferred for immediate onboarding.
