1. Key Responsibilities & Operations Scope
As an Airless Spray Painter, your core daily tasks will focus on surface inspection, paint mixing, equipment calibration, airless spray execution, and film thickness verification:
- Operate high-pressure pneumatic airless spray pump systems to apply epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich, and anti-corrosive coatings on structural steel, tanks, and piping spools.
- Inspect blasted or prepared surfaces prior to paint application to verify surface cleanliness, profile depth, ambient temperature, relative humidity, and dew point parameters.
- Measure, strain, and mix multi-component coating materials, primers, thinners, and hardeners in strict adherence to manufacturer technical data sheets (TDS).
- Monitor wet film thickness (WFT) using comb gauges during spray application to ensure the specified dry film thickness (DFT) is achieved without runs, sags, or pinholes.
- Perform daily setup, cleaning, flush-outs, filter replacements, and routine maintenance of airless spray guns, fluid tips, hoses, and pump assemblies.
- Comply strictly with personal protective equipment (PPE) mandates, including fresh-air supplied respirators, full-body protective suits, eye protection, and hazardous chemical handling safety protocols.
