1. Key Responsibilities & Site Execution Scope
As the Electrical Supervisor during the plant turnaround, your primary responsibilities will center on field crew direction, safety oversight, system testing, and project coordination:
- Supervise daily electrical maintenance, overhaul, testing, and inspection activities across switchgears, transformers, MCC panels, motors, lighting, and cable systems.
- Lead teams of electrical technicians and sub-contractors during tight turnaround execution windows to meet project schedule deadlines safely.
- Manage permit-to-work (PTW) procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), electrical isolation, gas testing verification, and risk assessments prior to commencing work.
- Perform technical testing oversight, including megger testing, primary/secondary injection testing, insulation resistance checks, and motor solo runs.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, piping, and instrumentation supervisors to resolve inter-departmental site interfaces and avoid work downtime.
- Enforce strict compliance with Hazardous Area classification requirements (ATEX/IECEx), site HSE rules, and electrical safety standards.
