1. Key Responsibilities & Site Operations
As a Hydrotest Technician, your daily tasks will involve technical setup, pressure testing execution, safety monitoring, and system depressurization:
- Set up hydrostatic pressure testing manifolds, high-pressure water pumps, pressure gauges, charts, relief valves, and temporary blinds according to approved testing diagrams (P&IDs) and isometric drawings.
- Perform filling, venting, pressurizing, holding, and depressurizing operations on piping loops, structural spools, and pressure vessels safely and systematically.
- Inspect tested piping networks for pressure drops, joint leaks, flange weeping, or structural deformation during pressure hold periods.
- Operate hand pumps, air-driven hydrotest pumps, calibrated test gauges, and temperature recorders in strict adherence to client engineering procedures.
- Perform line flushing, chemical cleaning, dewatering, air blowing, and line drying operations following successful test completion.
- Enforce strict exclusion zones, pressure safety barriers, permit-to-work (PTW) guidelines, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements around active testing loops.
2. Candidate Eligibility & Selection Criteria
