1. Key Responsibilities & Engineering Operations
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, your core daily functions will encompass preventive maintenance planning, equipment troubleshooting, reliability engineering, and team leadership:
- Develop, implement, and oversee Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs for rotating and static mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical failures on pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, valves, piping systems, hydraulic systems, and heavy industrial machinery.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring equipment failures to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize overall plant operational reliability.
- Supervise mechanical technicians, maintenance crews, and specialized third-party contractors during routine operations, plant turnarounds, and major shutdowns.
- Prepare technical specifications for mechanical spare parts, oversee inventory requirements, and manage Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ensure all engineering modifications, repairs, and daily maintenance activities comply strictly with corporate health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards and international engineering codes (API, ASME, ISO).
