1. Key Responsibilities & Design Execution
As an Interior Designer, your primary technical and creative duties will center on concept development, spatial modeling, material specification, and client coordination:
- Develop innovative interior design concepts, mood boards, color schemes, and detailed 2D/3D visual proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Produce accurate 2D architectural layouts, floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), and detailed joinery/fit-out production drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create photorealistic 3D renderings, spatial visualizations, and walkthrough animations using 3ds Max (V-Ray/Corona) and SketchUp.
- Select appropriate materials, furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), lighting, and wall finishes aligned with project budgets and design standards.
- Coordinate directly with corporate clients, sub-contractors, MEP engineers, and site execution teams to ensure on-site works conform to approved design drawings.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, assess installation progress, and troubleshoot spatial or structural design challenges during site execution.
