1. Key Responsibilities & Site Coordination Operations
As an MEP Coordinator, your daily duties will focus on on-site service integration, subcontractor supervision, clash resolution, and schedule compliance:
- Coordinate site execution of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drainage, HVAC, and fire fighting services with civil and structural works.
- Review composite MEP coordination drawings, builder’s work drawings, and BIM models to identify and resolve spatial clashes prior to site installation.
- Directly manage, monitor, and supervise MEP subcontractors, verifying manpower deployment, work quality, material submittals, and progress performance.
- Liaise with architectural and structural engineering teams to ensure necessary blockouts, openings, sleeves, and equipment foundations are accurately provided.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with approved shop drawings, QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications), and project specifications.
- Support testing, adjusting, balancing (TAB), and final commissioning of building utility systems to facilitate smooth authority handovers (KAHRAMAA, Civil Defense, QCDD).
