1. Key Responsibilities & Pavement Engineering Operations
As a Senior Pavement Engineer, your core responsibilities will focus on structural pavement design, material testing oversight, and public authority coordination:
- Lead structural pavement design calculations, pavement evaluations, and rehabilitation strategies for flexible asphaltic and rigid concrete pavements.
- Review engineering deliverables, technical specifications, asphalt mix designs, subgrade stabilization, and structural layer design calculations.
- Coordinate directly with public works authorities (Ashghal), supervision consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and interim advice notes (IANs).
- Oversee non-destructive pavement testing (NDT), Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) analyses, pavement condition index (PCI) surveys, and geotechnical investigations.
- Provide technical guidance during site laying, asphalt plant operations, compaction control, and quality assurance inspections.
- Assess contractual pavement variations, value engineering options, and technical submittals to optimize project cost and durability performance.
2. Candidate Eligibility & Professional Requirements
